What About The Children

Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Month is recognized in April,
yet child awareness should be every day.
Mothers can help PREVENT child sexual abuse simply with their eyes.
What About The Children
Even within the walls of their own home,
children are at risk for sexual abuse.
  • 30-40% of victims are abused by a family member
  • Another 50% are abused by someone outside the family whom they know and trust
  • Approximately 40% are abused by older or larger children whom they know
  • Therefore, only 10% are abused by strangers.

Take Care of YOU!

What have you done for YOU lately?
Before you can properly care for your family; you MUST take care of you.
You are the fuel that keeps the family going, therefore, you must refuel yourself!
Here are just a few questions to answer. Your answers should tell you something.

  • Have you eaten a nutritious meal in the last two days?
  • Have you exercised this week?
  • Have you had at least 10-12 eight ounce glasses of water today?
  • Have you taken time to stretch your muscles today?
  • Have you looked in the mirror and smiled at yourself today?
  • Have you given yourself a compliment recently?
  • Have you pampered yourself within the last week?
  • Have you gotten to bed before 11 p.m. recently?
  • Have you had a time out today?
  • Did you walk away from your desk during your lunch break?
  • Have you been looking at the computer screen for over an hour?
  • Have you had a date night in the past two months?
  • Have you had a girl's night out or any alone time this month?

Just a reminder...if you're running on empty or just a 1/4 tank of fuel,

it's time to take care of YOU.
